Glenglassaugh Distillery, Portsoy, Scotland

Glenglassaugh 1975, Speyside

The Glenglassaugh distillery was founded in the quaint North Sea community of Portsoy, Banffshire in 1875.  Since its opening it has been closed several times during its fruitful life.  First from 1907 to 1931, and again from 1936 to 1959.  With valuable additions being completed before its reopening between 1959 and 1960.  Its production capacity was doubled with an increase in the still size for the remaining life of the distillery.

Glenglassaugh was mothballed in 1986 with a bleak outlook of ever being reopened.  This fine malt was used in several blends including Famous Grouse, Cutty Sark and Laign's.

Parker's Whisky is pleased to offer an exclusive bottling of the Glenglassaugh Scotch.  Originally distilled in September 1975, bottled April 2006.  This unique 30 year Scotch malt stands tribute to the fine distillation that took place at this distillery.  With only 206 bottles coming out of the cask, be sure to secure your bottle while stock is available.
